Is 'A Great Deception' a Political Book?

Some critics of the Western Shugden Society have claimed that its agenda is a political one and that the new book, 'A Great Deception' is a political book.

So, is this the case? The answer is, quite simply, 'no'. The reason is that the stated aims of the book are spiritual:

  • To liberate millions of innocent practitioners of the Buddhist Deity Dorje Shugden and their families from suffering

  • To restore peace and harmony between Shugden and non-Shugden practitioners

  • To re-establish the common spiritual activities of Shugden and non-Shugden practitioners

  • To free Buddhism from political pollution

The book functions spiritually like a Dharma Protector, protecting not only Dorje Shugden practitioners from slander, ostracism and persecution by exposing the Dalai Lama's lies and 'setting the record straight' but also protecting the Gelugpa tradition whose reputation has suffered greatly through the Dalai Lama's arrogant statement that all his Teachers and Lineage Gurus were 'wrong'.

Indirectly the book protects ALL schools of Tibetan Buddhism. By exposing the Dalai Lama's plan to create a new school of Buddhism by merging all the schools together, with him as the head, it will avert the destruction of Tibetan Buddhism. If the Dalai Lama were to succeed with his plan, it would destroy the precious and unique enlightenment-giving qualities of each tradition but the Dalai Lama doesn't care about Buddhism - this is his plan to consolidate and protect his personal power over the Tibetan people and to ensure a position as a religious leader if he should ever return to a Tibet that is governed as an autonomous region within China.

In a review of Buddha’s Not Smiling: Uncovering Corruption at the Heart of Tibetan Buddhism Today, by Erik D. Curren, Lama Karma Wangchuk wrote:

Curren’s account of the United Party initiative will be shocking to many readers. The United Party was a plan run by the Dalai Lama’s brother Gyalo Thondup to unite all Tibetans, regardless of their region or religious affiliation, into a coherent group able to stand together against the Chinese. The most controversial part of the plan was a scheme to combine the four Buddhist schools and the Bon religion—governed separately for more than five hundred years back in Tibet —under a single administration led by the Dalai Lama. “When word of the United Party’s religious reform got out in 1964, the exiled government was unprepared for the angry opposition that leaders of the religious schools expressed. To them, this unification plan appeared as a thinly disguised scheme for the exile government to confiscate the monasteries that dozens of lamas had begun to re-establish in exile with funds they had raised themselves.”

Although the Dalai Lama's plan failed when he tried to do this in the early 1960's, thanks mainly to opposition by the 16th Karmapa and the Thirteen Tibetan settlements, he never gave up on his plan. His banning of Dorje Shugden is part of this plan. This ban has two main purposes - to divert attention from his failure to obtain any good results for the Tibetan people in terms of Tibetan independence or even autonomy within China, and to weaken the Gelugpa tradition so that he can merge all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism together and guarantee himself religious power as head of this new school. Since his intentions are completely self-serving and worldly, it can be seen that he is not a valid spiritual leader or spiritual guide. The faults of mixing religion and politics are there for all to see.

The purpose of 'A Great Deception' is similar to that of 'Buddha's not Smiling' – an attempt to uncover corruption at the heart of Tibetan Buddhism, that heart being the Dalai Lama's 'lama policy' of mixing politics and religion. Just as 'Buddha's not Smiling' is an expose of the Karmapa controversy, so 'A Great Deception' is an expose of the Dorje Shugden controversy.

One reason why 'A Great Deception' might be mistaken for a political book is that, in order to highlight the hypocrisy and deception of the Dalai Lama, it investigates his political actions, subsequent failures and the devastating effect that these religiopolitical actions are having on Buddhist practitioners and society at large. As the book states, the only person who can put an end to this is the Dalai Lama himself:

In Tibetan society, anyone who has views and intentions that are different from those of the Dalai Lama is immediately accused of not being Tibetan; they are criticised, threatened and ostracised. This happened in the past and is happening to Dorje Shugden practitioners today. From this alone we can see that Lama Policy continues to have a devastating effect on society. This problem cannot be solved unless the lama himself changes his own attitude. (p18)

The hope of publishing a book such as 'A Great Deception' is that it will bring pressure to bear on the Dalai Lama to change his disastrous policy. Sadly, being self-serving, this will only happen if his reputation and power are affected. Until now, he has arrogantly refused to discuss the Dorje Shugden issue with concerned practitioners.

We can see that all the problems of division and disharmony in the Buddhist community these days, whether due to the Dorje Shugden issue or the Karmapa issue, are due to the power and ambitions of one person: the Fourteenth Dalai Lama of Tibet and it is he and he alone who can solve these problems. Let us hope that as public awareness of 'Lama Policy' grows the Dalai Lama will be forced to abandon it in favour of a separation between 'church and state' in Tibetan society. Only this will remove the political pollution in Tibetan Buddhism and enable it to function as a pure path to liberation and enlightenment for all living beings.

Clear and helpful analysis, thank you. With this new book and an increasing amount of revelations of the Dalai Lama's bad behavior on a variety of blogs and Internet sources, the situation is becoming clearer by the day and it is becoming harder for the Dalai Lama to maintain the great deception. Dorje Shugden's function, being as he is an emanation of Wisdom Buddha Manjushri, is to clear away confusion.

From the Dalai Lama's point of view, politics and religion are together.

So a religious matter for one side, it is also political matter to the Dalai Lama's side.

Why? Becuase somehow affects his negotiations with the Chinese Government?

It would be interesting to know what has he been negotiating with the Chinese:

Does the Dalai Lama actually plans to return as a political and religious leader to Tibet?

Maybe he cannot return to Tibet as a political leader without being in the Communist Party's payroll, correct?

Ok, lets assume the Chinese accept him and he actually would accept returning to Tibet merely as a religious leader (no matter religion is not the for Chinese Government's cup of tea).

But if the Dalai Lama is neither the leader of the Tibetan schools of Buddhism nor the Bons, what kind of leader is he? What does he actually wants to do?

Make his own tradition... by amalgamating all existing traditions? If he does this he may return to Tibet without being in the Chinese Government's payroll? Maybe then he does not even need to return to Tibet.

I understand that this may be also why a religious matter for him is also a political matter. I guess.

I hope the Dalai Lama and his followers can also understand it is not that everyone wants to mix of religion and politics like him.

The DL reminds me of Syndrome in the movie The Incredibles. Syndrome has no super powers of his own so he creates power through artifice and money and kills off all the actual super heroes, wanting everyone to see him as the only super hero. The DL is "killing off" the great heroes of the Gelugpa school such as his own Guru Trijang Rinpoche, and also leaders of the other schools. Using the artifice of politics, money and power, he has hijacked Buddhism to his own selfish ends. But he did not count on the Incredibles to stop him! and ultimately of course he is no match for Dorje Shugden.

As shown extensively in 'A Great Deception' using reliable third party sources, the Dalai Lama had great reverence for Mao and wanted to spread communism in Tibet before he left. He had already signed Tibet over to the Chinese in the 17 point agreement and wanted to work with them to establish a communist Tibet. He only changed his tune when he reached India in 1959. If the CIA had realized where his ideological loyalties lay, I don't think they would have supported him!

He has said in interviews that he is 'half Buddhist, half Marxist'. He'd happily accept being on the Chinese payroll if it guaranteed him power, but there would be uproar from his people because he's made a career out of being a refugee in exile and also the Chinese don't trust him because he is duplicitous - signing sovereignty of Tibet over to them and then reneging on the deal when he didn't get what he wanted. No wonder the Chinese accuse him of being 'splittist' because he welched on the deal. It all makes so much more sense now after having read the book.

Copenhagen:
Tibet is integral part of China
December 11, 2009

Denmark will oppose Tibetan independence and carefully consider China's reaction before inviting the Dalai Lama again, Copenhagen said Thursday in a diplomatic note to Beijing, AFP reported.

"Denmark is fully aware of the importance and sensitivity of Tibet-related issues and attaches great importance to the view of the Chinese government on these issues," the note said.

"Denmark takes very seriously the Chinese opposition to meetings between members of the Danish Government and the Dalai Lama, and has duly noted Chinese views that such meetings are against the core interest of China, and will handle such issues prudently.

"In this regard, Denmark reaffirms its One-China Policy and its unchanged position that Tibet is an integral part of China. Denmark recognizes China's sovereignty over Tibet and accordingly opposes the independence of Tibet."

Ties between Beijing and Copenhagen have been strained since late May when the Tibetan monk visited Denmark and was received by Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen. The welcome accorded to the Dalai Lama in what was termed a "private visit" led to the cancellation of official Danish visits to China and fueled problems for Danish firms operating in China, AFP reported.

The note said Denmark "attaches great importance to the considerable progress of the bilateral relations and the fruitful cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, educational, scientific and technological fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1950."

The diplomatic note was backed by two big opposition socialist parties.

Top negotiator claims Dalai Lama lies ,
December 09, 2009
In an exclusive interview with the Global Times, Zhu Weiqun, vice minister of the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of the CPC Central Committee, dismissed recent remarks by the Dalai Lama that China is aware that he is not seeking an independent Tibet.

"This is yet another lie from the Dalai Lama," Zhu told reporters Monday. "I represent the government during talks with his man. It is impossible for me, or anyone from my team, to say something like 'the Dalai Lama has stopped separatist activities.'"

"During the talks with Gyari, he did tell me that the Dalai Lama had no intention of seeking independence and was willing to solve the issue under the Chinese Constitution," Zhu said. "What he said was good, but still far from enough. The 'middle way' solution the Dalai Lama proposed still claims Tibet as occupied by China and demands the abolishment of the current social system. His so-called 'greater Tibet' idea also demands the pull-out of all non-Tibetans and military from Tibetan-inhabited areas."

"Those ideas all oppose the Chinese constitution and the Law on Regional National Autonomy. He should seriously rethink his 'middle way' plan and make thorough explanations," Zhu said, adding that this is not the first time the Dalai Lama has spoken such lies.

"He made similar remarks last April in Seattle. Shortly after that, Gyari told me in Shenzhen that the Dalai Lama misinterpreted my words in 2006. I asked him to warn the Dalai Lama about repeating such mistakes. However, the same thing happened again in May and June that year and in August this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he brings up the same lie again in the future," he said.

Zhu also pointed out that, no matter how the Dalai Lama repeats the lies, Gyari has always remained silent in the corner, which may reflect the dilemma of Gyari: while refusing perjury in favor of the Dalai Lama, he is either reluctant or unable to correct his master.

Given the fact that each meeting with Gyari is tape recorded, Zhu encouraged Gyari to tell the truth.

As to the Dalai Lama's motives for the lies, Zhu said he might be trying to provide himself with an exit amid the political mess.

By allegedly masterminding the March 14 riots in Lhasa last year, the Dalai Lama had intended to hijack the Beijing Olympics to break talks with Beijing to achieve a breakthrough on independence, "but only in vain," Zhu said.

Shortly after the riots, the Dalai Lama called the slaying of innocent citizens a "peaceful demonstration" and denied his demands for the withdrawal of the military and non-Tibetans. He never admitted his lies even after being exposed, Zhu added.

Black Magic Indeed!
November 11, 2009
by truthaboutshugden

Wrathful Hayagriva
Later, on another occasion, we were performing a ritual of Hayagriva. It was not particularly aimed at Dholgyal. The aim was to destroy anything, be it human, non-human, a lama, a deity or a ghost, that harms the Dharma and the just cause of Tibet. Whatever it is, it should be eliminated. It can’t be helped. (emphasis mine)

-”Concerning Dholgyal with reference to the views of past masters and other related matters” A talk on Dholgyal by H.H. the Dalai Lama, Dharamsala, October 1997 (dalailama.com)

So the Dalai Lama uses religious rituals to destroy anything, including other people, that harms the cause of Tibet? They should be “eliminated?” Are these the words of Avalokiteshvara, Buddha of Compassion? And meanwhile he accuses Dorje Shugden pracitioners, with no proof and no basis whatsoever, of using “black magic?” (see Not Afraid of Spirits, below).

If mixing politics and religion in this macabre way, and using your prayers to kill others is not black magic, what in the world could black magic be?

The Truth behind the Throne of a God King and another book will hit the public. Hanging the dirty laundry on the line appears to be the only way to dethrone this deceiver. Many can testify,Black Magic, why it is common knowledge across Eurasia in general. However, now that the subject has been broached, I am certain this senile old man will hang himself. Dig out the old formulas and put them on line and do not be shy. We must wash the whole load in public. If we are to have a lineage to carry on, we must act and I mean everyone as though their lives depended on it. No time for slackers or dissenters. We know what we must do and this includes all of you. Just like our environment and Co2 pollution. We must view it as an enemy to be erradicated

He wanted to do his cleaning in public and call us Taliaban.
Well here we are to help him along with his project, "Weapons of Self Destruction", is an art that will implode him. How much more of a fool can he make of himself.
There is a story of a Lama dressing in Black and hitting his target with an arrow, killing a king that threatened all Mahayanna Buddhism.
Then the Lama turned his robe inside out and turned all white.
We did not start this. He did!
He is a character from Star Wars Emperor, Black Magic to Enslave the Universe.
Did he not say he would reincarnate and destroy Shugden across the Universes?
No one likes warfare, illogical forums with deniers not even willing to even discuss it with us.
Like it or not, here we are.
I for one, do not intend to step in front of the Bus.
I'll let him do that!
Want to know what a person is thinking, listen to them and hear what they say.
It is crystal clear what is on his mind and he has been doing it for hundreds of years if not longer.
Enslaving people in some form or another.
It what he does and to think or perceive otherwise is extremely foolish and naive.
We must Protect Our Lineage Masters from this pollution.
To do otherwise is cowardly and undignified to say the least.
The Wheel of the Dharma has turned to the West as Lord Buddha said. We must adjust and act accordingly with the Highest Standards immaginable to Clean Our Environment for the Dharma to Build it's Home here,in the West.

The Western Shugden Society's book, The Great Decption was an alot of hard work to clarify the mystique carefully constructed by various elements as exemplified by Professor Robert Thurman. Robert has always held a high degree of respect for his own greed and Three Poisons in general to pursue his agenda. I took notice of Bob when called one day in 1997 from Gethesemane Monastery in Kentucky. Where he and the Dalia were plotting, as they did to Thomas Merton. Dali and Bob invoked a voice I had never heard before. Telling me or shouting through the phone various explicatives and many, many threats to cease and desist any further shennanigans about Dorje Shugden.
Ah yes! I remember them well!
The Great Deception is a Hallmark of definitive documented proof that is easily accessible for the novice and curious to find the truth for themselves as to exactly how the Dalia Lama chose to emmanate a great upheaval during this despicable and unprescedented period we are all forced to suffer.Unheard of within the annals of Mahayanna Buddhism to this day. Thank you for solidifying the facts. So we will all know what we each must say and do to protect and uphold the dharma and Great Lineage of Our Masters.
They rejoice by our actions to Protect the Lineage.

I do not believe the title Dalia Lama was even invented during the time of the 3rd and 4th. As I recall it was a title bestowed by the Mongolians after they did the doubtful's fifth's dirty work and slaughted his competition.
The God King came with the 5th ascension to complete and total control over the Tibetan War Lords.
The installment of the fifth consolidated all power to himself, temporal and otherwise. Why else would so many Dalia have been assassinated during the 19th century. They were as much a pain then this one is now.
I no longer have the book published by Tromo Geshe Rinpoche's NY branch of the Tibet House, entitled 'Sacred Treasures Of Tibet'. Where there is a painting on the robe of a monk depicting the soon to be Panchen Lama, the soon to assasinated Dragpa Gyalthshen and of course the 25 year old Onion man, the Fifth Dalia Lama, who plowed the fields until he was finally recognized, untrained and jealous of the Wisdom Buddha, Dragpa Gyaltshen, the fifth killed the Wisdom Buddha. The tangka is not symetrically represented, as the High Teacher, Panchen Lama sits above Tulku Dragpa Gyaltshen, who sits above the jealous fifth. Bob Thurman mentioned the Lama died under mysterious circumstances. It was this painting that rang the final bell and nailed the coffin for me that this Dalia Lama is no lama. I wept uncontrollably for 12 hours and here I am today with all intent and conviction to reveal this Charlatan for what is is, a reincarnate War Lord.
I have no misconceptions that he holds a higher more altruistic motivation. Even if he represent the Lower realm Buddha in charge of police, sanitation, taxes and the like means nothing to me anyway.
Take the King out of the equation and then I think Dalia is reasonable even if somewhat tarnished.
It only took a act of the Mongolian Communist Party to make it illegal for the Bodgkhaan to reincarnate in 1927. His incarnation is there without the political entitlement. I believe they are attempting some sort of DNA trace to find any remmants of the Bod family having survived the purge of the Communist Party?
If the TGIE had any sense they would do the same and sue the Dalia Lama for incarcerating millions of people over hundreds of years as mere Serfs. The Buck stop with the God King, no other allowed this terror to continue until they the Chinese threw his Holiness out the door.
What was made largely by our Western guillibility can be unmade the same way. One photo opt at a time. His files with the CIA say it all and there is no better nation over another in any of this Cold War eara stuff. We cannot continue to be brainwashed about one political system being better or the methodology that brought them to their current status as Nations. It is what is and we have no time to pull our environment together. This to me means forget the past and anyone who is not part of the solution is part of the problem, as is this Dalia Lama. The West and China must become as one and deniers only cost valuable time. Obama did not meet the Lama and I doubt he will do so, if ever. This battle we face was not just started in 1996, we've been at this for a long, long time. As I see it, the Norbu boys just got back here a little sooner than most of us. So they had the advantage. Not an longer, we all wised up and try to keep our vows in an untenable situation. Anyone who denies the power of the Panchen Lama part yet to be played are not paying attention.
All the Great Masters are lining up to empower beyond our imagining and I will be old by then, but who cares. We will have set the stage and defended Our Master's Lineage.China will as they say embrace Mahayanna Buddhism and Protect the Lineage Masters, as they do now.
There are no real political boundaries. Have you seen Ganchen Lama in Beijing, his photos show up everywhere in China. I wonder what he is doing over there in China?

Consistency brought down the perpetrators of the Viet Nam War.So keep up the pressure and do your thing and Protest this tragedy until you are Blue in the Face.
No rest for the wicked and no quarter given. Slam this dictator into the ground. Freedom is not God Give, We have to fight for it in each generation. Keep up the work and write another book that defrocks this lama and sends him back to whatever hole in the ground he crawled forth from.
No Spectator allowed, Only Brave Warriors of Shambala Will Win the Day! Not for the faint of heart and no stepping back from the throngs of his Aristocratic Refugees that take refuge in our Democracies. The only place that allows the support of a Theocratic Medievalist, called the God King, by any other name his name would be mud. A lost renegade from a terrible horror that lasted until this last century needs to be buried with all the other deceitful tyrants that fill the history books.
You are either on the bus or off the bus! Make up your mind, If you want to be a Buddha, then say nothing at all and leave the rest to people like me. The ones who know the hole they dig is big enough for him and me.
We will never cease nor desist in our quest to bring down this Charlatan, the ones who misaligned me and you as though we do not matter, who is he to say so?

Honesly, I don't know - and I don't really trust the wisdom and compassion of my own reactions. What I do know is that when I think about the WSS book I find lots of objections arising in my mind; but when I read your rousing and hillarious posts, and think about your commitment and personal sacrifice to this cause then I just want to defer to your superior wisdom and compassion.

I think that probably I am just a vain and self-important idiot who wants everything to be neat and tidy and intellectually respectable, whereas you are strongly focused on the issue itself, which is the most important thing.

So probably I should bow down to your superior wisdom and compassion and pray to become more like you myself.

But honestly, I am CONFUSED!!!

Adam, Thanks for being yourself and not an Avatar. We have enough of those lying around doing absolutely nothing but thinking somehow if they do not condone or participate, that they will be free and not ensnared in all of this when they are afterall part of the problem. A problem, becasue many think that by doing nothing they will not incur some sort of wrath or bad karma. Bad karma comes from doing nothing. Doing nothing is like watching another drowning or in dire and desperate need, and doing nothing.
Would say we witnessed an elderly person getting beat up? Would we stand idly by and say that is not my karma, or are they afraid they might be hurt and better to wait until the cops come and save the day? We are the Cops, Judge and Jury on each situation we conjur in our mind's imagining. So what do we do when Lord Buddha throws a buoy and a rope as we drift helplessly down a swollen river and someone else intervenes and cuts the rope and we drift on hopelessly in the swell of a Tsunami?
Lord Buddha layed down the Precepts for all Human Beings!
There is nothing in them that I can find that condones cruelty as a remedy. But then I am not a Lama and it they we trust. They know the 84,000 remedies to the 84,000 deluded states of mind.
If we remember the basics, then it is no problem to tell which Lama is true and which lamas are not.
Tough Love is Big Love, if applied right.
When another is deluded and lives in self cherishing pride, it shows, one can tell as their auras betray their lies.
There is absolutely no doubt about who is the Big Cheese and he is lying and deceiving as any of the other money whores on Wall Street or work at Goldman Sach. They take and take and know no shame as to what they believe they are worth as being more than you or me or 95% of the rest of us.
He is the deceiver, otherwise you would not be confused. If he were the real deal, none of this would have ever reached your ears. None of us would have been confused after receiving Lord Buddha's Blessing. Instead he takes delight in deceving you and me and millions is pitiful. But then he had a weird childhood and needs or did need therapy about 53 years ago.
I would not be writing any of this.
If he had been the real thing. He is not!
He is the Betrayer and does not practice the precepts, therefore he is not a Practioner of Lord Buddha's Wisdom and Insights.
The Werstern Shugden Society challenges this coward to discuss as any normal human strive to obtain to overcome conflicts. In the normal course of events, this might be true and applicable. However he cannot submit to any public scruntiny, becasue he has something to hide. You know people in the news who committed crimes decades before and then when finally caught, Deny any of it.
He and his lineage predecessor hide the inherited secret that the so-called 5th Dalia Lama killed or had his minister kill a Wisdom Buddha to seize unchalleged power and complete control over all the Tibetans. No interference for hundreds of years. Then again, China and Mongolia did not pretend to be a Theocratic Institution and country of monks and serfs. What a

Thom said...

deal, what a setup! Who would want to give such a good deal to have over 2.6 million people jump at your slightest whim to please and revere you as a God and even a King?
Well a true Buddhist Practioner would never desire such a depravity, an abhorrence beyond description. One the SS Officier remarked was much more cruel than the one we gave up in Europe hundreds of years before he gave us, called the Medieval Ages in the West. His was lost in the Dark Ages, the one preceding the Medieval one put him and his mentality on the the same level as the fundamendalist in Amman carrying a sword and dressing their women in Black, head to heel. Right after they mutilate their women's sacred parts. People were being mutilated by his institution right up to when he fled or ran away.
Confused, well I hate to see that, but I can tell you I was once confused until Kyabje Dagom called me up and I said, what do you care. He said, we do not want you to be confused and from then on it was a non stop learning experience right up to this very moment and you say what was once said to me. I fell complelled to do what I can to clarify the situation the only way I know how. By channelling and writing and no judging the words I see print out before me.

People in the West were deprived centuries ago by the Catholic's Inquistion of magical events as common place. Dalia has mundane powers that impress the sterile west and profits from their innocence.
A person attempting to practice their dharma should not listen to a man that generates hatred due to his own fear that he is found out. It is not complicated, he got star struck and then paranoid that he would be found out that he came to power like any other mundane human tyrant, through crimes against humanity.
If he would drop the King and just be a God. Then he might have a chance to defend his position as just a God, but you cannot serve two masters anymore than you can practice all four schools at once. One at a time and experience them all to be sure what is right for you.
He cannot serve two anymore than you or I can.
He has transgressed beyond imagination. He spoke and lied in India on sacred ground. He has no shame and is as I said, a political whore, selling the precepts as though they were his own original words rather than Lord Buddha. But what can one expect from a boy born into a Muslim Family and forced to be a Buddhist. It never did his brother any good, he was angry his whole life.
Just like the Dalia, who it appears hates Lord Buddha and his wisdoms. Becasue he practice none and ridicules the Teachings with his every breath. Or is he just an actor and is not a fault. His strings might be pulled by his TGIE. I doubt it.
Send the Great Deception to whomever you know, one grain of sand at a time can move an entire mountain. We all matter and he must cease and desisit. I do believe that India has no choice and the more this old god king get peeved and impatient that he is actually in the New Delhi High Courts and they will issue a verdict.lt is the Law and we have him by his short hairs now and there is only the squirming to endure until the Justices take care of him for all of us.The Bigger they are, the harder they fall. I am waiting to hear a great big thump on the floor not to long from now. He cannot avoid his karma forever and ever is next spring, if not before, the way he is going. He will recant and by then he will need all the compassion he can get from all the people he has deceived will not be very happy to have been made fools by a man in a robe. First hint, he wears Guicchi Shoes and the second is he wears a Rolex. What would Buddha say about this for a monk with monk vows.

Thanks Adam, it is nice to know someone is out there in this digital mist called samsara.

I agree that The Great Deception is a lot of hard work put together, and it does make a stand to clarify what is happening, but I have heard many people who are non-Buddhists who are turned off by this because it shows that even the Buddhist sangha can do such things that put down their spiritual leader.

Also, I've read on many forums that discusses Dorje Shugden issues (good example is: http://www.dorjeshugden.com/forum/index.php?topic=531.0) that the book's condemnation of Dalai Lama is no way trying
"To liberate millions of innocent practitioners of the Buddhist Deity Dorje Shugden and their families from suffering".

I don't think it helps to restore peace and harmony between Shugden and non-Shugden practitioners - it highlights the differences, and that Dalai Lama is a bad guy with many worldly flaws and not fit as a spiritual leader.

The book tried to protect only Dorje Shugden practitioners from slander, ostracism and persecution by exposing the Dalai Lama's lies and indirectly slandering the Dalai Lama. What's the difference between this book and the Dalai Lama that said his Teachers and Lineage Gurus were 'wrong'? WSS is saying now that the Dalai Lama is wrong anyway and to add to that, that the Dalai Lama is a muslim?

I am curious, how many people actually get "liberation" from this book and how many actually has further wrong view about Tibetan Buddhism, especially Gelugpa and also about Geshe Kelsang Gyatso & Kadampa due to books like this?

But face the facts
He is not a Practicing Buddhist
And the Book was his own words
